He did. We let the little varmint outside to go to the bathroom. The next thing we knew he had spotted a squirrel (probably the same one who eats our trash can .... yes, the trash can, not the trash) and took off. Chad and the three older kids had to leave for a temple trip and didn't have time to catch him. Kirk and I were snuggled up in my bed revelling over the fact that we could sleep longer. I wasn't gonna leave my bed to go hunting for him. He'd get hungry eventually, and come barking at my door. And that's exactly what happened! About an hour later, I heard one single bark. I went downstairs, opened the front door and there was Skipper. He came in and went straight to bed. Apparently, running after the squirrel plum wore him out!

Kaido did that to me once. And also in pursuit of a squirrel. And, he too, trekked back after a neighbor yelled at him. I wasn't about to trudge through the snow to find him. He knew where the house was. I figured he'd find his way back.
PS- Is it the squirrels that eat the trash cans? I always thought it was the raccoons. There are big bite marks in Kyle's trash can. It's completely disgusting to me. And slightly scary.
Kaido and his squirrels will be the cause of my arm pulling out of socket one of these days.
Dogs are way fun. Way too much fun.
I'm glad he came home. I don't know what I would do without him
To Tice: We have caught the squirrel in action. He's also been shot at by Jake's BB gun. He's the squirrel that keeps on chewing!
To Natalie: I know the feeling. Skipper has broken two collars already trying to chase various creatures.
To Sweet Pea: I'm glad he came home, too.
