When Chad's Away....

It is a well known fact in the World of Lori, that when Chad is out of town I do not cook.

The following is a journal of where we ate this week.

The week (Tuesday) started off great because everyone agreed that we should pay homage to Chad and go to one of his favorite restaurants. So we went to La Tolteca and had dinner rich in cultural diversity!

Wednesday, Caroline had a soccer game (in which she was a starter by the way) and Jake had a golf game (which their team won), all of which took place in the rain. It was decided that since we were being the All-American family with sports and all, that we would go to an All-American sort of restaurant. Thus began the down hill trend. In a week where we were free to go to any fast free dinning we wanted, we went to this place.....AGAIN. However, it is because I forgot that I had offered to take dinner to a family with a new baby. So we quickly went through the drive thru to get dinner for the starving soccer star...

Then we went here to pick up two pizzas to take to the starving, sleep deprived family who happened to have pizza brought to them the night before by another time deprived family like us, no doubt!

Then back to here to get dinner for Jake and Kirk who waited patiently for their dinner to come. (No need to mention that they could have eaten something at home, but that is beside the point!)

Finally, on Friday, I was determined to go here because I couldn't stand "you know where" anymore. The kids didn't have a say on "where" but were happy to tell me "what" they wanted. Saturday, we had a nice bowl of cereal with milk (and it was heaven) for breakfast and then went here for lunch before settling down for two sessions of conference. It was heavenly, and personally, I could have eaten here all week long!
Saturday night, we went to McDonalds yet again and ate more of these... I think I'm going to be sick just thinking about it.
Today, I am looking forward to tuna sandwiches and tomoto soup. As always, I am ready for Chad to come home so we can get back to some home cooked meals...at least until Tuesday!
